On Saturday, February 25, the Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife held their annual Cape Coral Burrowing Owl Festival.
With over 1,000 nesting pair and 2,500 burrows, Cape Coral is home to the largest population of Burrowing Owls in Florida.
Held at Rotary Park, the Burrowing Owl Festival provides a day filled with animals, plants, interactive displays, seminars, and more, all intended to educate those in attendance on all that Cape Coral has to offer in the way of nature.

This Sunday, February 26, The Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral and the Gulf Coast Symphony will host their annual Taste of the Cape/Symphony at Sunset at Four Freedoms Park in Cape Coral.
For the fourth year, the two organizations have partnered together to bring a unique event that blends the best in food Cape Coral has to offer with the classical sounds of the symphony along the waters of the Bimini Basin.

On Thursday, March 9, “Team Friends” will host their annual Relay for Life fundraiser concert at Faith Presbyterian Church.
This year’s theme is “Celebrate Spring,” and will feature the return of internationally acclaimed singer Maurice LoMonaco.
Born in Palermo, Italy, LoMonaco moved to America with his family at the age of ten. He studied and became a classically influenced singer/songwriter and lyrical tenor traveling around the world offering an expansive repertoire with his music and voice, and capturing the heart of everyone who hears him.

For those who cannot make the Mardi Gras celebrations in New Orleans this year, the South Cape Hospitality & Entertainment Associations is bringing the Cajun festival to Cape Coral as they host their fourth annual South Cape Mardi Gras Trolley Event.
The event will take place this Saturday, February 25 from 7:00pm to 11:00pm.
During the evening participants will travel by trolley to 12 of the South Cape's premier nightspots. Each stop on the route will feature Mardi Gras specialty drinks for just $2.50.
