Cape Coral in Pictures: Cape Coral Festival of the Arts 2017

Over the past weekend, tens of thousands of people transcended upon the South Cape to attend the annual Cape Coral Festival of the Arts.

Hosted by the Rotary Club of Cape Coral, the Cape Coral Festival of the Arts is the city's largest two-day annual event and Southwest Florida's largest art festival.

This year, an estimated 100,000 people packed Cape Coral Parkway strolling the event stopping at the nearly 300 artists who participated in the event.

This weekend, Cape Coral will come alive with art, as the Rotary Club of Cape Coral hosts its annual Cape Coral Festival of the Arts.

One of only two annual events that actually closes Cape Coral Parkway, the Festival of the Arts provides a wide range of art featuring nearly 300 artists set up to display their works for perusing and purchasing.

The layout of the event creates an easy to stroll journey for those who attend as artists are set up on both sides of Cape Coral Parkway between Del Prado Boulevard and Vincennes Boulevard in one large loop.

This Thursday, the students, teachers, administration, and parents of Cape Coral's St. Andrew Catholic School will kick off its annual St. Andrew Festival on the grounds of the school and parish.

For over 25 years, the school has hosted the festival bringing a classic old-town carnival event to Cape Coral, attracting tens of thousands through the gates each year.

Cape Coral in Pictures: Cape Harbour's New Year's Eve Party & Ball Drop

A Cape Coral tradition continued this past Saturday as Cape Harbour said goodbye to 2016 and welcomed 2017 with its annual New Year's Eve Party & Ball Drop.

It was the eleventh year, Cape Harbour has hosted the event, and evidenced by the packed crowd at this year's party, the event has become a local favorite way to ring in the new year.

Those who attended the event enjoyed an evening of live music, food, drinks, and more highlighted by the 170-foot drop of the shimmering ball immediately followed by an impressive fireworks display.
