Cape High students looking to make impact half way around the world

Empowerment, Inspiration, Hope.

What three Cape Coral High School seniors not only have given, but have in their hearts to move mountains, bicycles, and achieving a global impact.

This past Saturday, December 10, Daniela Barata, Javier Diaz and Stefania Lugli coordinated a fundraiser at Cape High to benefit international non-profit organization Working Bikes.

The organization rescues discarded bikes, gives them new life and distributes to local and global communities.

On Wednesday, November 16, the Cape Coral Police Department held their monthly 2016-2017 Do The Right Thing Awards ceremony at City Hall.

The department recognized twelve Cape Coral students who were nominated for their recent actions that had a positive impact on the community.

The department hosts the ceremony each month during the school year to honor local students for going above and beyond in their everyday life to "do the right thing."
