Cape Coral in Pictures: Cape Coral Lady Seahawks vs. Dunbar Lady Tigers

The Cape Coral Lady Seahawks faced 2012 Division 4A state champions Dunbar High School Lady Tigers Friday night at Dunbar.

The Lady Seahawks entered the game with an undefeated 16-0 record and leading the Division 5A District 13 standings. While, they left Dunbar still in first place, unfortunately, the same cannot be said about their undefeated record.

In the clash of first place teams, Dunbar proved too much to handle for the Lady Seahawks as the Lady Tigers prevailed 53-38.

The game was a tail of two halves. The first half of the game was a defensive struggle between the two teams, with the Lady Seahawks going into halftime with a 14-13 lead.

However, in the second half, the flood gates opened for a Dunbar scoring storm that saw the Lady Tigers outscore the Lady Seahawks 40-24 on their way to their twentieth win of the season.

The Lady Seahawks (16-1) now hold a two game lead on second place Lemon Bay in the 5A District 13 with the season quickly winding down.
