Cape Coral Social Club

The mission of the Cape Coral Social Club is to give its members a friendly, welcoming place to have fun, enjoy social activities and gain an awareness of our community and its services.

Our general meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month with coffee hour at 9:00 a.m., program and business meeting at 10:00 a.m. We have speakers on topics of general interest. Dinner/dances are the 3rd Saturday of the month, featuring a social hour beginning at 5:30 p.m.; dinner at 6:30 p.m.; dancing until 10:00 p.m. Both are held at the Cape Coral Yacht Club.

Membership is open to residents of Cape Coral and the surrounding areas; dues are $20/person/per year.

The Club evolved out of the New Residents Club, which was formed in 1967 by Helen Peck. At that time, membership in the NRC was for one year only, thus upon graduation, members wanted to continue in the social functions and formed Club 68. In 1976, the NRC had so many graduates, Club 76 was formed. Both Clubs, 68 and 76, were getting so crowded, it looked like a new club should be formed; in June 1985, Club 85 officially began. In 2001, Clubs 76, 85 and 90 joined together as one club; in 2004 the club name was changed to the Cape Coral Social Club, effective January 2005. Further information on the club is available at the Historical Social Museum on Cultural Park Blvd.
